Miao Embroidered Apron, China, Mid 20th C. Apron with overall decoration of narrow folds of pieced cloth in contrasting colors enclosing small areas of embroidery. Three rectangular lappets with pendant coins and large seed beads hang from wide waistband. Cotton tabby cloth, silk thread, coins, seed beads. Size: 28'' x 79'', 71 x 201 cm (including ties). Provenance: Ex. Roger Hollander collection.
