Note:
Djawida Nadjongorle was born in Kurrudjmuh in western Arnhem Land, Austrailia. In his accompanying curriculum vitae, he states that his birth date is around 1935, that his skin name is Yulkman and his official language is Kunwiniku.

He writes in English, "This painting depicts Rainbow Serpant (sic), Catfish and on the right two Mimi Spirits and a Dilly Bag full of goose eggs. Also depicted is a Yawk Yawk Sister with the tail like a mermaid."
