Note:
Bazanov was born in the city of Saratov, Russia in 1959. He studied fine art at the College of Fine Art in the city of Saratov. Upon graduating, he entered the Academy of Fine Art, Sculpture and Architecture in St. Petersburg. Here, Bazanov studied under the well-known Russian artist Professor A. Milnikov. From 1987–1991, Bazanov created a number of mosaic murals for the Union Palace and the Literary Café in St. Petersburg as well as for restaurants in the city of Zelenogorsk. In 1993 he was commissioned to work on an installation of mosaics for the new subway station Staraya Derevnya in St. Petersburg.
