Description
A group of six Chinese famille rose plates dating from the 19th century. All the plates have a white ground. The first plate has a scene with four women, which is surrounded by a band of auspicious symbols. The second plate has a central roundel with butterflies, which is surrounded by a dragon band. The third plate has a scene with flowers and butterflies, which is surrounded by a dragon band. The fourth plate has a domestic scene with six figures, which is surrounded by a dragon band. The fifth and sixth plates are a pair, both with an interior landscape scene with four figures, which is surrounded by a turquoise band with lotus tracery and four framed flowers. The exteriors of the pair of plates have three bats, and the bottoms have a 4-character mark.

Dimensions are: the largest plate, one of the pair, measures 3/4 inches tall X 8 1/2 inches wide, 1.9 cm X 21.6 cm. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: The first plate has a hairline and a chip to the rim. The second plate is in overall good condition. The third and fourth plates each have two hairlines. One of the pairs of plates has a hairline, while the other is in overall good condition with glaze pops. A reminder that all lots are sold as-is.
