Winter Asian Art & Antiques, Session 2

Oakridge is pleased to announce its last auction of the year: a Winter Asian Art & Antiques sale packed with an array of exciting lots of Chinese art. Scheduled for December 1-2, 2021, this auction will feature nearly 600 lots separated into two sessions: Session 1 - Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art beginning at 9 am EST on December 1st, and Session 2 - Appreciating Extravagance: Chinese Artwork from an Important Collection in Ohio beginning at 9 am EST on December 2nd. Session 2: With over 300 lots, Session 2 is composed of works of art from an esteemed collector from Cleveland, Ohio. The items in the collection were acquired starting in the 1970s from auction houses including Christie's, Sotheby's, and Bonhams, as well as from various private collections in the United States. The highlight of this collection is none other than Lot 521, an austere teadust brush washer with an olive green coloring. With all its quiet majesty and beauty, this piece is a prime example of the tea dust ceramics of the official kiln of the Daoguang period. This exquisite ceramic is estimated at $10,000 - 12,000 USD. Bidding is available online via Invaluable, LiveAuctioneers, HiBid, 51BidLive, or Artfox Live; by telephone; and by absentee bidding.
