Description
A 112-piece set of Chinese famille rose serving ware dating from the late 19th or early 20th century. The pattern features a pair of dragons on a yellow ground. They are marked "Made in China." The set includes: two large teacups with handles, ten round cups, five small teacups with handles, two serving spoons, one small oval dish, one large oval platter, one 5 1/2 inch dish, seven saucers, nine wide rim bowls, eight 7 1/4 inch plates, twelve 10 inch plates, nine 6 1/4 inch plates, eight spoons, one 4 inch bowl, six 5 inch bowls, one 10 inch bowl, nine 4 1/2 inch dishes, ten sauce dishes, and ten 8 inch plates.

Dimensions are: the largest platter measures 2 inches tall X 16 inches wide, 5.1 cm X 40.6 cm. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: Sixty-one dishes are in overall good condition. Most pieces with glaze wear and glaze loss. One large teacup with chip to rim, and one with a hairline. Six cups with chips, one with a repair to the body, and one with a hairline and a chip to the body. Small oval dish with chipping to the edge. Large platter with significant glaze chips. One 5 1/2 inch dish with one hairline. One saucer with chip to rim, and one with chips to foot. One wide rim bowl with crack, two with chips, and one with glaze loss to the interior. Three 7 1/2 inch plates with glaze loss. One 10 inch plate with a chip to the rim and wear to the interior, ten with glaze loss, and one with chips to the rim and body. Two 6 1/4 inch plates with glaze loss. One 5 inch bowl with a chip to the foot, one with chips to the foot and a hairline to the rim, one with chips to the body, and one with a glaze pop to the rim. Large chip to the rim of the 10 inch bowl as well as a crack with chipping. One 4 1/2 inch bowl with a hairline and a chip, and two with hairlines. Five sauce dishes with chips to the rim, and one with chips and hairline to the rim. And one 8 inch plate with a hairline and breakage. A reminder that all lots are sold as-is.
