The canvas is unlined and retains its original stretcher; the work is backed by a sheet of foam core and the reverse of the canvas is not visible. The paint surface is in relatively good, clean condition overall. There are several minor abrasions visible along the extreme edges. There are several very small abrasions to the polished surface visible in the upper right quadrant of the painting. Upon inspection under ultraviolet light, while some of the darker black and blue pigments fluoresce, these appear original to the artist and inherent with the way in which the polished surface has been applied.
