Hard cover, original publisher's full red cloth, medallion U.S. Eagle blind stamped on front cover, Knopf's Borzoi trademark is blind stamped on the back cover, gilt lettering and decoration on spine [a few stains, spine fading: see photos]; 5.3/4" x 8.3/4"; vii + 364 pages + iv pages of Index + one page "Note on the Type" [one small stain on the last two pages: see photo]; 15 full-page portraits, very good condition.
