Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue and White Porcelain Jar. Potted with a large cylindrical vessel, jar shape, globular belly heavy on shoulder, round mouth rim, short neck, and raised on ring foot base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white base color which contrast against blue fine color, depicted of many elders on the grass field bellow scrolling ruyi clouds, beside dense tree, all in mountain landscape. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned.The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark greyish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim.
