Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue and White Porcelain Jar. Potted in jar shape, has an wide open mouth with a slightly out-turned lip, and the short neck leads to a convex bulging belly with a restrained bottom, with reverse dome lid finial bud. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in blue and white color, depicted of elders seating relax bellow dense tree, flowers bloom and auspicious pattern. A characteristic heaped and piled effect, the under glaze greyish-blue concentrates in certain areas, bubbling through the surface of the glaze and turning a deep blue-black. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design.The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark greyish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim.
