Description
WWII US 9th AAF Fighter Pilot medal group to Howard M. Park (of International Falls, MN), of the 513th Fighter Squadron, 406th Fighter Group, 9th AAF. He was wounded in the face and neck on August 1944, then in the right arm and leg on September 1944. He had two credited ME-109 enemy aircrafts destroyed and three probable victories (Almost an Ace of the last three were confirmed). He flew 134 combat missions, and on one where he earned a DFC, he heavily damaged (possibly sank) a German destroyer. Comes with an old sales listing from approximately 30 years ago detailing the history. Comes with his boxed Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal, Purple Heart, and campaign medals as well as copies of his service records.
