Description
For your consideration is a marked Chinese yixing clay teapot with spinach jade handle, spout and lid finial. All jade components are bound to yixing body by intricate silver collars. The body of the yixing teapot is decorated with incised calligraphy - perhaps a poem, signature and/or date - and a floral decoration. The lid fits perfectly into body and keeps a great seal. The teapot is marked on its underside with an impressed stamp. Spinach jade portions are cold to the prolonged touch and are authentic nephrite jade. The teapot measures 7" from handle to spout, is 3 3/4" in height and weighs 9.6 ounces.
