Description
For your consideration is a Chinese hexagonal yixing teapot with applied calligraphy and scenic landscape decoration. The handle and spout echo the six-sided design and are beautifully arched. The round lid is also decorated with an applied arabesque decoration and the finial depicts the yin-yang symbol and incorporate the steam vent. The underside of the teapot is marked with an impressed 4-character reading 'Shi Da Bin Zhi" (Shi'Dabin Make). The teapot measures 5" in height, 8" from handle to spout and weighs 1 pound, 5 ounces.
