Chinese Qing Dynasty Wang BingRong Yellow Glazed Dragon Carved Porcelain Pen Holder. Potted in thick, cylindrical body, trump, round mouth lip, raised with round flat foot base. Warm and uniform yellow glaze applied to the surface, only the outer bottom is white glazed. Sgrafitto with imperial five claws dragon flying careening through cumulus clouds above thrashing Li-shui waves. Yellow is an imperial color in Chinese Dynasty color symbolism, representing power, royalty, prosperity and the earth in traditional Chinese culture. The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within blue rectangle line. Made in The Years WangBingrong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
