Chinese Ming Dynasty Jiajing Yellow and Red Pen holder. Potted in thick, globular lower body, gently tapered to straight cylindrical neck, dome lid with centre concave to input pen, raised with ring foot base with slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in red base color which contrast against yellow color, depicted of imperial five claws dragon flying careening through cumulus clouds above thrashing Li-shui waves. The glaze has smooth texture and moisturizing, glossy quality. Which attracting unceasingly admiration.On Upper base a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years JiaJing Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
