Description

For your consideration is a limited edition Reed & Barton damascene "Founding Fathers" charger/tray/plate depicting Benjamin Franklin. This collectible charger depicts an engraved portrait of Ben Franklin surrounded by "The Founding Fathers", "Benjamin Franklin" and "1706 1790". In true damascene form, the plate's decoration are brilliantly set off by copper and brass accents added to and engraved through the silver base. The backside of the charger is marked "Hand Crafted / Damascene by Reed & Barton / The Founding Fathers / Benjamin Franklin / Limited Edition of 2500 / 204". The charger measures 11" in diameter and weighs 1 pound.

Provenance: From a private collection in Lockhart, Texas.
