I think this plate represents Tuthill's best engraving achieved. Featuring cherries, pears, raspberries and oranges it is far superior to their other engraving in that the depth is unparalleled and the shading/detail/relief is truly on a level you will not find on other Tuthill glass. Look at the hammering within the fruit and how it gradually fades from frosted/unpolished to ever-so-lightly fully polished within the same fruit. I have heard of this technique referred to as a "satin" finish and it is truly stunning in person. It's signed Tuthill on the underside.

Good condition - no chips but some light surface scratches (seen in photos) - 12 1/2" wide, almost 1/2" thick, 1 1/2" tall.
