Description
A late Roman pale green glass bottle, Eastern Mediterranean, 4th - 5th Century AD, the pear-shaped body with deeply indented bottom, the sides with light vertical ridges. The neck is wide with constricted base and funnel mouth flanked by handles (one now lost), the top of each angled to serve as a thumb rest. H: 4 in (10.2 cm). Well-preserved with light deposits, one handle missing. Ex Lecker collection, FL, acquired in the early 1980's.
