Chinese Ming Dynasty XuanDe Yellow Glazed Porcelain Bowl. The bowl has an open mouth, rounded lip rim, thick, deep arced body, raised with round foot ring and slight concave. Warm and uniform yellow glaze applied to the surface, only the outer bottom is white glazed. Elegancy come with zitan hardwood stand carved with scrolling ruyi and Auspicious motif. Yellow is an imperial color in Chinese Dynasty color symbolism, representing power, royalty, prosperity and the earth in traditional Chinese culture.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within double fine blue rings lines. Made in The Years XuanDe Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
