Chinese Qing Dynasty Tongzhi Yellow Glazed Bowl. The porcelain potted in a shallow, slight deep, flaring rim with close mouth rim, raised on ring foot base. Warm and uniform yellow glaze applied to the surface, only the outer bottom is white glazed. Yellow is an imperial color in Chinese Dynasty color symbolism, representing power, royalty, prosperity and the earth in traditional Chinese culture.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed red script characters reign mark. Made in The Years of TongZhi Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
