Monumental and impressive Louis XVI style gilt bronze mantel clock, late 19th century, in the manner of Pierre Gouthière (French 1732-1813), the clock face with Roman numerals and two wind holes, the case surmounted with sunburst mask surrounded by ribbons and swags of laurel leaf and berry garlands, two sphinx flank the base decorated with further garland swags, raised on a stepped plinth base with acanthus and palmette accented banners. 27” H x 22” W x 11.75” D. Minor wear to gilding.
