DESCRIPTION: Henry Clive (American, 1882-1960). Oil on board. Portrait of a woman. Signed in middle near woman's face. PROVENANCE: This painting hung in the living room of the consignors childhood home during the 1930s. Her father called the painting "Myrtle". ARTIST NOTE: While Clive became well known for his paintings of Ziegfield Girls, big screen stars and magazines his paintings are prized by collectors as only a few are known to exist. MEASUREMENTS: 21-3/4" high x 15-1/2" wide. Overall 23-3/4" high x 17-3/4" wide. CONDITION: No defects noted. IMPORTANT: Before bidding, please read the terms and conditions.
