ANDREW JACKSON (1767-1845). 7th President of the United States (1829–1837).
March 25th, 1829-Dated, Partly-Printed Document Signed, “Andrew Jackson,” 1 page, 14.75” x 11 7/8” on Vellum, Ornate Scallop Top Ship's Passport, Very Fine. This form made out for the Barque Armadillo of New York, Jnt. Robertson, Master or Commander, Countersigned by “James A. Hamilton,” as “Acting” Secretary of State. The original, full Embossed Federal Heraldic Eagle Seal is intact and sharply accomplished. There are typical fold lines and wrinkling somewhat affecting between the first and last name of the signature. Docketing on the reverse. The signature “Andrew Jackson” measuring about 4” long in rich brown.
