Description

Beginning in the 1740's, Capa-Di-Monte became a household name for porcelain products as they began production in Naples, Italy by special request of King Charles III of Bourbon. He wanted a royal porcelain studio on the grounds of the palace and it was called Reggia di Capodimonte. This one in particular is a modern production by the company and represents an English quartet of two males and two females on violins and pianos. Brilliant colors across the cermaic and highly detailed. Numbered 230. This auction includes: (1) Capo-di-Monte English style Ceramic Figurines English Quartet Condition is considered to be good with no cracks, chips, dents or other markings of damage on the piece. The ceramic is made very well and has the manufacturers mark on the bottom with the product number written on the bottom. Dimensions are 18"W x 20.5"H x 12"L. Shipping weight is 7 LBS.
