(GEORGE WASHINGTON). Eulogy on the Memory of General George Washington by Thomas Cuching Thatcher, A.M. Dated January 13, 1800, by Thomas Cushing Thatcher, A.M., Boston, Extremely Fine.
January 13, 1800-Dated, boldly printed Eulogy imprint, measuring 5" x 8", complete 12 page sermon (including cover), disbound. Printed on laid period paper by Manning & Loring of Boston. So many different Eulogies were produced that they are a collectible in their own right. The flowery language of the eulogists as a delight to modern ears. Thomas Cushing was one of many ministers who eulogized Washington in countless churches and cities throughout the nation. This is one of the more vibrant George Washington eulogies we have offered. A nice example in excellent high quality.
