Lyndon B. Johnson Endorsed and Signed Check to LBJ Library
1p, measuring 6" x 2.75", New York, dated August 3, 1972. A Chase Manhattan Bank check, No. 102, made out to Lyndon B. Johnson for $5.00 by Joseph J. Fricelli. Endorsed and signed on verso, "Lyndon B Johnson/pay to order of LBJ Library." With a large "PAID" stamp on the front and additional stamps on verso. The check has been encapsulated and authenticated [Authentic Auto] by PSA/DNA. Light smudging on the front and verso from the stamp ink. Boldly signed and overall very good.
The LBJ Presidential Library was dedicated on May 22, 1971, on the grounds of the University of Texas at Austin and houses 45 million pages of historical documents, including the papers of President Johnson and those of his close associates and others.
