The Jockey Club of 1876, with Watercolor Jockey Scenes
A large photogravure of the 1876 Jockey Club, measuring 19" x 23.5" (oval, sight), [London], dated Ca. 1876. Ninety-one members are pictured in black and white, dressed in formal suits, some with hats. Surrounding the member portraits are color watercolors of jockey racing scenes. The photogravure was produced by artist, William H. Tuck & Co. Framed to the overall size of 26.25" x 35.25". The portraits of the many members show signs of cracking from age.
