19th Century Volume of Music, Unique Variety with Beautiful Calligraphy
104pp, measuring 9.5" x 13.25", no place, n.d. [Ca. 19th c.] The volume contains 44 engraved pieces of sheet music and a beautifully handwritten index. Songs include: "Erin, Thou Land of the Brave", "Far, Far At Sea", "From thee Eliza I must go", "Oh the Moment Was Sad", "Erin Go Bragh", "Ellen O'Moore", "Sweet Pensive Nun", "Lovely Mary", "Go Gentle Sigh", "Adieu Sweet Girl", and many more. Publishers include Carrs Music Store, G.E. Blake, and J. Hewitt. The volume has a half-calf leather binding, which has been worn and chipped from use. Bumped corners and spine. The spine has been cracked but the binding is sound. Dampstaining in places. Light soiling and foxing to internal pages. Overall good.
