Henry Lee III (1756-1818) was the ninth Governor of Virginia and father of Confederate general Robert E. Lee. His valuable service and guerrilla warfare tactics as a cavalry officer during the American Revolution earned him the nickname "Light-Horse Harry". He served as a representative for Virginia in Congress, and famously gave a stirring eulogy for George Washington at the President's funeral on December 26, 1799.
