Aft. Jean de Bologne
France,19th Century
Includes a depiction of a scantily clad Mercury with winged feet standing upon the North Wind, and a depiction of bare breasted Fortuna perched on a wheel holding a cornucopia above her head. Both sculptures stand upon black marble bases neoclassical bronze banding around the column.
Bronze, marble,Smallest approx. 39" x 14 1/2" dia".Largest approx. 40 7/8" x 14 1/2" dia.
Mercury signed "Jean de Bologne" on statue base, Fortuna signed "Delavigne" on statue base.
From the collection of a Bardonia, New York estate.

Some surface wear and scratches to bronze components, chips to edges of marble bases, Mercury base with crack under bronze band, Mercury missing staff, Fortuna with staff included but not attached, please refer to photographs.
