Grand Tour Era "Mercury & Diana," from the originals created in 1580 for Ferdinando de' Medici intended as sculptural accents for fountains in the Villa Medici in Rome, but moved in 1780 to the Uffizi Museum in Florence. Mounted on the allegorical head of the north wind, with molded cylinder plinths, having bas relief friezes, black slate bases. 28" tall.
