William Dillwyn was an 18th-century Quaker known for his ‘moral reflections’ – a collection of anecdotes, quotes, and instructions. Dillwyn was an active abolitionist and because of this, his ‘Occasional Reflections’ was highly popular amongst freed slaves and other abolitionists.
This 1815 printing of Dillwyn’s book was owned by Asia Walton who helped in the Underground Railroad in Pennsylvania.
