Description
East Asia, China, Song (Sung) Dynasty, ca. 960 to 1279 CE. A stunning pottery dish presenting a large, circular basin and an annular, lipped rim, sitting upon a slender leg and concave foot. A lustrous glaze envelops the vessel, boasting mottled hues of olive green, deep puce, and espresso, and gathering in petite clumps on the rim to add a lovely uneven texture. An incised spiral additionally decorates the bowl, lying at the center of the interior basin. Note the rainbow-hued iridescence the gorgeously complements this vessel's elegant form! Size: 11.625" in diameter x 4.875" H (29.5 cm x 12.4 cm)
