Description
Antique Senufo 40" Long Finely Carved Ivory Walking Staff / Cane / Scepter / Stick | Very ornately designed with two figures at its top, male and female, shaped in traditional Senufu fashion | Hand-carved and constructed in four pieces, each attached by joints carved with screw threads / ridges (helix) wrapped around the staff's cylinder, with a glue / adhesive also applied to the joint | Top piece is loose and can be removed, but has no damage to the joint, which appears to have been previously repaired; detachment appears to be a failure of the old adhesive | Approx. Size: 40" long.
