2nd-1st millennium BC. A ceramic jug comprising a biconvex body with short narrow base, flared neck with single strap handle to the shoulder, pierced filter at the junction of neck and body; painted panels of S-scroll and guilloche ornament to the body and neck, wedges to the handle, running loops to the rim. 717 grams, 19cm (7 1/2"). Ex central London gallery; previously the property of a Swedish private collector, London, 2000. [No Reserve]
