Description
likely attributed to the Hartsoe family of potters, late 1800s early 1900s, jug with dark greenish brown alkaline glaze with rutile and cream highlights, "2" stamp at shoulder with a slash mark, applied strap handle, straight spout, collared rim, 13-1/2 in.; small jug, brown glaze with runs, rutile and cream speckling, applied strap handle, collared rim, 8-1/2 in.

Condition
glaze voids and anomalies as made, surface abrasions, small jug with kiln debris on base, wear and chips to rim, possible restoration to interior rim, hairlines to glaze at shoulder, base edge wear, larger jug with small rim chip to interior rim edge, one side of glaze underfired, residue in spout, evidence of gold paint on base edge, otherwise good condition
