A late 19th century German coin operated floor model music box. Fancy Walnut case with molded top, carved detail, applied columns, and upper glass door with stenciled inscription "Thonopol Excelsior, Geo. Schneider, Nachf. Leipzig". Lower pullout record storage and molded base, a spring driven double comb music box with exterior crank and coin slot. Case refinished with some restoration, music box requires servicing, works sporadically, lacks three teeth on one comb. Includes twenty-seven 26 1/2" discs. 36 1/2 x 22 x 89" high overall.
