A George II mahogany tea caddy, circa 1740, caddy top with cast metal scroll swing handle, Chinese blind fretwork frieze, Rococo metal escutcheon, the velvet lined fitted interior with triple divisions containing triple silver tea canisters/mixing vessel each with matching bright cut engraved stag heraldry, the largest hallmarked for maker Thomas Newton, London 1740, 15.5cm high, 24.5cm wide, 15.5cm deep
