Description
Pre-Columbian, North Coast Peru, Viru culture, ca. 300 BCE to 100 CE. A hand-built and highly-burnished pottery vessel with a negative resist design on the body, feline head with large toothy grin, curled tail on the reverse, short rounded spout and bridge handle. Size: 9" L x 7.25" H (22.9 cm x 18.4 cm)
This piece has been tested using thermoluminescence (TL) analysis and has been found to be ancient and of the period stated. A full report will accompany purchase.
