The panel hand painted with Grisaille Bamboo and Rock works. ?Calligraphy Chinese lettering inscriptions poems, followed with artist's signature and iron-red seals on the upper right and lower left.

Shang Xiaoyun ( Jan 7, 1900 - April 19, 1976) was one of the four great twentieth century performers of the Dan role type in Peking opera with Mei Lanfang, Cheng Yanqiu, and Xun Huisheng. In addition to his singing, Shang was known for his dance and acrobatic skills. He was the founder of the Rong Chun Opera School.

Over all in EXCELLENT Condition. Natural imperfection on the medium (paper or silk), regardless from any major damages; includes light blooms, discoloration and minor fading. Consider normal due to the ages.
