After retirement he focused his efforts on revitalizing the local area and philanthropy. His entrepreneurial drive continually motivated him to privately invest in real estate ventures and many other businesses. In addition to his impressive business acumen, he was a man of artistic pursuits, collecting antiques, porcelains, oriental rugs, and artwork of many different genres.

Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Blue & white Iron Red Gilt Dragon motif Porcelain Meiping Jar. The porcelain shaped into a traditional Meiping form, large and tall, wide body on shoulder, short neck with narrow opening, slight flaring ring mouth rim, raised on round foot base, with slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white base color which contrast against blue and red fine color, depicted of Imperial dragon are borne in floating clouds, flame, above Lishui waves. Which attracting unceasingly admiration. The clouds and dragon patterns are vivid and have distinctive characteristics of the times.

The Shoulder-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue seal script characters reign mark, Made in The Years Qianlong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
