Description
19th c. Ovoid Jar with high squared shoulder, decorated with four blue & white branches of cherry blossom branches in alternating upward and downward orientation, brush swag pattern blue field, underglaze blue double ring inside shallow foot, with a four-character apocryphal Kangxi reign mark, but late 19th c. Guanzhu (1875-1908), having the original porcelain lid. Includes wooden stand. 10 1/4" x 8 1/4" overall porcelain only. Very good condition, a few small iron spot glaze occlusions. Provenance: From the estate of Hugo & Nathalie Weisgall, Rockport, Maine.
