An Egyptian alabaster head, 2nd - 1st millennium B.C.Finely carved head probably of a dignitary. Narrow mouth, almond-shaped eyes whose eyelids appear clearly in relief. Hairstyle in the form of simple parallel strands. A bulge of hair across the head. With bumps. Broken at the neck. Fragment glued on the underside. Beautiful age patina. Mounted on a base. Height 10 cm (with base 17 cm). Provenance: Swedish private collection. Acquired 2011 on the Swedish art market.Condition: II - III
