Artist: Willi Baumeister (German, 1889 - 1955).
Title: "Collage mit Frau #1".
Medium: Papier colle (collage) with India ink over pencil drawing on paper.
Date: Composed 1923.
Dimensions: Overall size: 9 1/8 x 7 1/8 in. (232 x 181 mm).
Lot Note(s): Signed in pencil, upper left recto and upper center, verso; gallery and collectors ink stamps, verso. Executed on light cream wove paper. Condition: very good with no serious condition issues; a light stain above the signature, upper left recto; paper waviness center left and upper right due to adhesion of collage element; a few handling dimples; newspaper (?) fragment verso; presents very well. A highly similar work is in the collection of the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart, Graphic Work Collection, Stuttgart, Germany.
