RIAA 2x Multi-Platinum Album award for Eagles album The Very Best Of, which was released on Sept. 25, 2003 and was certified on Dec. 17, 2003 for two million copies sold for 2x Multi-Platinum. 

Featuring the typical line up of massive Eagles hits, the album contains all of the tracks that appeared on the group's previous greatest hits albums Their Greatest Hits (1971–1975) and Eagles Greatest Hits, Vol. 2. Also some tracks that were not singles and the new tune "Hole in the World". The album went to #3 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart in the U.S. and #9 in the U.K. By 2008 the album would be certified 5x Multi-Platinum.

Detailed Item Description: This is a first presentation RIAA 2x Multi-Platinum award that would have been manufactured shortly after the certification date in 2003, making it approximately 18 years old. The award is presented to Craig Hall. It is not known what role Hall played in the creation or promotion of the album.

The award is in Excellent original condition with only very minor mars on the frame and plexiglass. It also has its' original Jewel Box Platinum manufacturer's sticker on its back.

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards like this one: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.

As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home. Typically, we don't know all the places they may have been over the years other than what we've stated in the description.
