A Sukhothai Bronze Walking Buddha Sculpture
19th century, the Buddha is cast in a walking position with long limbs and smooth modeling of his face and flowing robe, his left hand raised in the abhaya mudra symbolic of peace and protection, his right hand rests at his side, his oval face has a serene expression and his hair is arranged in tight pointed curls with a flame finial at top, the sculpture is set into a shaped wooden base.
