Antique Rare Bronze Walking Shakyamuni Buddha Sculpture (Thailand). An 18th Century Sculpture of a walking crowned Buddha figure displaying the following gestures: 1) Left hand is raised to shoulder height with arm bent, and the palm of the right hand facing outwards and the fingers upright and joined (Shakyamuni); and 2) Right arm is straight and lowered to side with the hand uniquely bent upwards at the wrist, with the palm facing down. The figure has the traditional walking buddha features including elegantly draped monastic robe and sinuous limbs, a trademark of the Sukhothai Kingdom of Thailand. Approx.
