Leather fire bucket, hand painted "No. 3 / Daniel U. Boone / 1837", on red ground. Some paint chips and use wear, repaired handle (taped) with one end loose from bucket. Measures 19"H (to top of handle) - the top out of round and ranges in size from 8" x 9". Provenance - Consigned directly from a descendant of Daniel Updike Boone (Newport, Rhode Island 1821 - 1854).
