Two Painted Leather Fire Buckets, New England, c. 1825. The shorter barrel-shaped bucket inscribed 'Worcester UFA' in gold and green paint over maroon ground, handle detached; together with tall black-painted bucket inscribed 'N. PECK. / No. 2. / 1825' in bronze paint, seam splitting at top revealing bentwood hoop frame, bottom seams loose, (Peck bucket, excluding handle) wd. 8 3/4, dp. 8, ht. 13 1/2 in.
