Western Europe, probably England or Spain, Medieval period, ca. 12th to 14th century CE. A large iron spearhead with a lengthy cylindrical socketing shaft. The blade is petaloid shaped with gently rounded shoulders that taper to a pointed and sharp tip. The blade is flat and could certainly pierce armor or skin quite easily. An intimidating piece of medieval weaponry! Size: 14.5" L x 2.125" W (36.8 cm x 5.4 cm)

Condition
Repaired with modern brass on neck and lower part of blade. Surface has been cleaned and has pitting on the blade. Nicks and chips to peripheries. Modern wooden dowel within socket.
